Escape from Tarkov gear fear is a raid tax. Players who only run their best kit once a week play worse than players who run a mid kit every night.
Insure what comes back
Insure armor and guns you will actually wear again. Do not insure junk you will vendor on sight.
If a map is a scav magnet, assume the gun is gone. Price the raid as a loss before you ready up.
A budget kit is a skill kit
Ammo and headphones matter more than a meta gun you are scared to peek with.
Die on purpose with a cheap kit until the hands stop shaking. Then bring the good ammo.
After death, one note
Was it a bad peek, a bad ammo choice, or a late extract? Fix one. Spreadsheets of every death change nothing.
